Ebola Crisis

What the heck were they thinking when they allowed the Us guy to come back to the US for treatment?
I mean, I understand that he would want to be treated in his own country. I fell sick when traveling to Italy last year and wanted to come home to be treated, but I did not have Ebola.
My first thought when I learned about it was that the US government and the aid worker really wanted to introduce Ebola in North America. I don't know what they were thinking! If I had the choice to either not deploy everything to help an aid worker (who brought this upon himself may I remember) or to help the whole population of America stay safe from Ebola by blocking all the exchange, I daresay that the choice in favor of the second option would be easy.
Let me help you picture this. If in a year, you find yourself worrying about your every move (as going to shop for your groceries) because the Ebola virus has been brought in America and is now killing a lot of people, you will probably regret the decision to (almost deliberately) introduce it in America.
Moreover, the aid worker will probably die anyways and then the medical staff will get infected and die too.
Furthermore, the aid worker brought this upon himself when he decided to help the people there. I mean, it is to be greatly admired to go help the people in need, and I am not saying that it was a bad choice. I actually highly regard the people going there, but they should know that if they get infected, they don't have a going home ticket.
It is highly ironic when an aid worker goes to Africa to help contain the epidemic and treat people infected and then helps Ebola spread when he returns home to be treated.
I am not against his treatment, I think he should be treated as it is every human beings right to be, but he should be treated equal to the other people he treated, in a hospital in Africa, where there is not risk of introducing Ebola since it is already there.
To conclude, I think that the Ebola afflicted countries should be helped and the people treated, but that the safety of the rest of the world be a priority.
A representative of most of the world
